I bring a strong spiritual, anthropological, cultural background to my work... including working with tribal peoples
As an Arab American female, raised in a dual language home, a mother, a partner, a human... I have developed a strong cultural and spiritual approach to the work that I do. My primary aim is helping people heal from trauma in order to support an ideal personal wholeness and psychological well-being. I am an older seasoned therapist that has been in practice for 30 years as an LCSW in Arizona, Texas and Pennsylvania. My PhD is in Applied Sociology, and I have had experience working with older adults BIPOC, LGBTQAi youth, individuals and families. I am in partnership with the father of my two children, our oldest being trans female, who is an artist grounded in Portland, Oregon. I embrace and welcome diversity in my family at home, professionally in my career and throughout my community. I enjoy making art in public spaces, pet sitting, gardening and playing music; I sing, do puppetry and am a percussionist of various types of instruments while ceremonially communing with nature.
